About The Plant at Kyle

This beautiful home stands on 40 acres and is built from the bones of the 1920s Alamo Cement Plant. Henry and Francine Carraro built the award-winning house with Lake | Flato Architects, a nationally recognized firm that are leaders in place based sustainable architecture.

The current owners, Dana Friis-Hansen, and Mark Holzbach, are preserving it in its original form, creating an educational and historical archive in recognition of its unique architectural significance and history. More information can be found here.
